One Piece: Eiichiro Oda Confirms Straw Hat Expansion [Confirmed]

One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda has officially confirmed that the Straw Hat Pirates will recruit new members as the narrative enters its climax, marking the crew's first verified roster expansion since Jinbe formally joined during the Wano Country arc. According to verified reports from Game Rant, the announcement solidifies longstanding community speculation regarding Luffy's declaration in chapter one to assemble at least ten companions before conquering the Grand Line. Following their ascension to Four Emperor status in chapter 1053, the crew faces massive confrontations against the World Government and rival pirate coalitions across Elbaf. Eiichiro Oda hinted that upcoming allies could stem from veteran Grand Fleet commanders, newly liberated Egghead scientists, or legendary Elbaf warriors who align with the Sun God Nika's liberation ethos. Bandai Namco and associated mobile gaming titles have already registered heightened engagement metrics following the reveal. The confirmation guarantees that the Final Saga will not simply conclude existing storylines, but will actively expand the core pirate roster before reaching Laugh Tale.
