Skate Studio Layoffs 2026: EA Cuts Confirmed [Full Details]

From a marketplace perspective, the layoffs have triggered a noticeable dip in Skate digital asset liquidity. 217G’s verified metrics show high‑rank competitive IDs dropping 27% in listings, with average prices sliding to PKR 45,000 (≈AED 650), reflecting buyer caution amid development uncertainty. Rare cosmetics such as the "Neon Grind" board and "Retro Flash" outfit have seen a 15% price contraction, while demand for full‑account transfers remains steady, driven by players seeking immediate competitive readiness. 217G’s escrow‑protected peer‑to‑peer trading platform continues to safeguard transactions, offering a secure avenue for acquiring or liquidating assets despite the studio turmoil. Sponsors are also reevaluating brand placements, leading to a modest 9% reduction in advertised slots during live‑streamed Skate events. Overall, the market adjusts to the staffing cuts, but 217G’s robust verification and escrow services ensure asset trades remain trustworthy and liquid for the community.
