Dota 2 Dark Carnival Act 2 Delay Surpasses Crownfall [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from Esports.gg, the Dota 2 Dark Carnival event has officially shattered Crownfall’s historical scheduling record, with the gap between Acts 1 and 2 stretching to a staggering 124 days as of late October 2026. The Midnight Run chapter initially launched on June 25, 2026, leaving millions of active players waiting indefinitely for the continuation of the story. This prolonged hiatus eclipses the previous 121-day record set between Acts 3 and 4 of the Crownfall update in 2024. The escalating community impatience came to a head on October 22 when prominent Reddit user LightningInTheRain published a thread detailing the exact milestone. Hundreds of community members flooded the discussion boards to debate Valve’s development timeline, questioning whether upcoming holiday patches will bundle Act 2 into a massive winter update. While Valve has remained tight-lipped regarding specific release dates, professional analysts and casual players alike are monitoring client updates daily. As the community waits for official patch notes, player engagement metrics remain surprisingly robust across matchmaking queues, proving that the enduring appeal of Dota 2's seasonal event structure continues to captivate its global competitive player base despite unprecedented content delays.
