CoD Black Ops 7 Game Pass Surge: MW4 Launch Boost [Confirmed]

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 experienced an immediate resurgence across Xbox and PC on October 23, 2026, after Activision announced that Modern Warfare 4 will remain locked behind a 69.99 dollar paywall without joining Xbox Game Pass until Holiday 2027. According to verified reports from Game Rant, the commercial positioning of Modern Warfare 4 provides Treyarch's shooter an unprecedented second life. While Black Ops 7 weathered intense community criticism throughout its debut cycle, its continuous presence on Microsoft's Game Pass Ultimate catalog makes it the premier accessible alternative for millions of subscription holders unwilling to pay premium retail prices for Modern Warfare 4. Tactical operators who previously transitioned from legacy modes, including tactical extractions featured in our [MW DMZ Coin Mining Den Location: NuriGO Mall Guide [Full Guide]](/news/mw-dmz-coin-mining-den-location), are populating Treyarch lobbies in record numbers. This platform exclusivity barrier creates an unexpected split in the active player base, keeping matchmaking queues for Hardpoint and Search and Destroy exceptionally fast. Microsoft and Activision's monetization timeline ensures that competitive rank-grinders and casual console squads will treat Black Ops 7 as their primary daily shooter for several upcoming seasonal content cycles.
