Darkwing Duck Reboot: Disney Plus Series [Confirmed]

Disney has officially greenlit a brand-new Darkwing Duck animated series revival for Disney Plus, bringing back the iconic 1991 crime-fighting superhero after 35 years to headline modern streaming lineups and revitalize classic nineties animation lore for cross-platform audiences worldwide. According to verified reports from Polygon, Disney has formally dipped into its deep archival animation vault to resurrect Drake Mallard, the caped vigilante whose slapstick justice captured Saturday morning television across 91 classic episodes. The reboot follows years of sporadic cameos, notably within the critically acclaimed 2017 DuckTales television reboot where Darkwing Duck was teased as an active crime-fighter in St. Canard alongside Launchpad McQuack and Gosalyn.
