WoW Forever Name Reservation: How to Claim [Full Guide]

World of Warcraft: Forever name reservations officially opened on October 27, 2026, allowing Battle.net subscribers worldwide to secure up to three unique character identities across PvP, Normal, and RP realms before servers launch. According to verified reports from Kotaku, players must install or patch the client via Battle.net to enter the creation portal. While actual gameplay remains locked until full launch, the client permits full race, class, and cosmetic customization, alongside a toggle between classic and modern visual models. Crucially, WoW: Forever introduces distinct first and last name surname systems, drastically lowering phonetic clashes and eliminating the need for awkward umlauts or special accents. Similar to major community rollouts analyzed in our coverage of the [Pokemon Legends Z-A Switch 2 Card: Full DLC [Confirmed]](/news/pokemon-legends-za-switch-2-game-card), early client access helps Blizzard stress-test distribution infrastructure under heavy load. Players who want coveted single-word monikers or prestigious guild identifiers must act immediately, as contested handles on prominent PvP servers vanish within minutes of activation.
