NHL Trade: Predators Target Simon Edvinsson [Roster Lock]

The Nashville Predators have officially entered trade discussions to acquire 21-year-old Swedish defenseman Simon Edvinsson from the Detroit Red Wings, seeking an elite top-four blueliner to secure their blue line ahead of the upcoming playoff push. According to verified reports from Sportskeeda Esports & BGMI, citing TSN insider Pierre LeBrun on Early Trading, multiple NHL franchises are monitoring Edvinsson's contract trajectory and ice-time allocation in Detroit. Nashville general manager Barry Trotz has made aggressive inquiries regarding blue-line upgrades to complement team captain Roman Josi. Edvinsson, selected sixth overall in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, has developed into a formidable two-way presence standing 6-foot-6, making him one of the league's most coveted young assets. Detroit general manager Steve Yzerman typically guards premier draft selections closely, making an outright swap difficult without massive draft capital or proven NHL talent moving to Michigan.
