Whalefall Movie Review: Austin Abrams Survival Thriller [Confirmed]

According to verified reporting from IGN Articles, the harrowing survival thriller film Whalefall directed by acclaimed filmmaker Brian Duffield and starring Resident Evil breakout actor Austin Abrams officially hits cinemas nationwide on Friday, October 16. Based on Daniel Kraus’s bestselling novel, the film features a uniquely claustrophobic premise where young scuba diver Jay Gardiner is swallowed alive by a massive sperm whale, leaving him with only one hour of breathable air to engineer an escape. Duffield and his production team meticulously constructed a physical whale belly set to capture gruesome, high-stakes panic in real time without relying exclusively on CGI.
