Super Smash Bros: Mew2King Banned from Event [Confirmed]

Super Smash Bros veteran Jason 'Mew2King' Zimmerman was officially barred from entering a major Texas esports tournament on October 16, 2026, after tournament organizers raised urgent venue health and sanitation concerns regarding severe insect bites and hand swelling Zimmerman shared online. According to verified reports from IGN Articles, Zimmerman triggered alarm across the fighting game community after publishing photos displaying swollen, inflamed hands and legs covered in painful red bites prior to boarding his flight to Texas. Zimmerman noted the swelling might stem from high-intensity Fox practice or recurring domestic bug bites, explaining that such infestations have affected him weekly. Tournament administrators acted swiftly to deny venue badge access, prioritizing player hygiene standards and preventing potential pest contamination inside the competitive arena. Zimmerman acknowledged the decision publicly, clarifying that while he sought immediate dermatological remedies, event safety protocols took precedence. Similar operational friction has echoed across other titles, much like roster controversies seen in the [CS2 Roster Update: Topa Signs Major Circuit Deal [Confirmed]](/news/cs2-topa-roster-update-2026).
