CS2: ESIC Hands Hungarian Player playN Lifetime Ban [Confirmed]

The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) officially issued a permanent lifetime ban against Hungarian player Palkovics 'playN' Tamás on October 16, 2026, after revoking his prior three-year suspension following social media posts displaying illicit cash earnings from match manipulation. According to verified reports from TalkEsport, the integrity commission escalated the penalty from an initial three-year ban—originally scheduled to run until April 23, 2029—to total ineligibility across all ESIC-sanctioned events. The inquiry originated from the infamous NOMERCY match manipulation investigation, where Tamás had initially cooperated with regulators to secure a reduced sentence. However, ESIC reversed its leniency when Tamás subsequently published photographs of substantial cash piles across his social media channels, undermining his claims of reform and integrity. ESIC clarified that while his early procedural assistance was reviewed, flaunting illicit proceeds breached the fundamental code of competitive conduct. Consequently, Tamás is barred from participating in any capacity—including coaching, playing, or managing—in events run by ESL, BLAST, and other member tournament operators, shutting down any prospect of competitive redemption.
