Dragon Ball Goku Voice AI Theft: Masako Nozawa Slams [Confirmed]

Legendary eighty-nine-year-old voice actor Masako Nozawa, the iconic voice of Goku across the Dragon Ball anime franchise, publicly denounced unauthorized artificial intelligence voice generation as illegal intellectual property theft during a national NHK broadcast, demanding strict industry protections against voice cloning. According to verified reports from IGN Articles, Nozawa reacted with fury after reviewing viral online videos that synthesized her distinctive vocal signature without her explicit consent. The prolific voice talent, who has portrayed Goku, Son Gohan, and numerous franchise variants across four decades of television, film, and video game releases, emphasized that mimicry through algorithmic scrapers devalues human craft. The backlash has prompted Japanese voice acting associations and intellectual property groups to establish the nation's first comprehensive AI voice usage guidelines to protect performers against rogue audiovisual scrapers. The broader entertainment sector echoes similar debates seen in [Avatar Seven Havens Modern Tech Fate Explained [Lore 2026]](/news/avatar-seven-havens-modern-technology-breakdown), where modern technology clashes with artistic legacy. With gaming developers increasingly tempted by synthetic voice tracks to expedite localization schedules, Nozawa's public stand creates a precedent that could halt non-consensual voice replication across both anime production and tie-in fighting game titles globally.
