Final Fantasy Longest Games to Beat: Full Ranked List [Guide]

The longest Final Fantasy game to complete is Final Fantasy XIV, demanding over 250 hours for the base story and thousands of hours for completionists, followed closely by Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy Rebirth, and Final Fantasy X. According to verified reports from Game Rant, Square Enix built an RPG legacy where standard 35-hour narrative runs explode into triple-digit odysseys once players pursue Platinum trophies, celestial weapons, and optional superbosses. In titles like Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age and Final Fantasy X, mastering deep progression boards and capturing elusive monsters inflates playtime significantly beyond casual play. Modern entries like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth push completionist boundaries through expansive open-zone regional intel and challenging battle simulator gauntlets. Much like the massive scale examined in the [Elder Scrolls Online Skyrim Update: Free DLC [Confirmed]](/news/eso-echoes-of-skyrim-free-dlc), modern RPGs demand enduring time commitments from active communities. Game Rant highlights that while vintage titles like the original NES trilogy can be wrapped up in under 20 hours, modern franchise installments continually prioritize expansive, high-density post-game ecosystems that test player resolve worldwide.
