Cyberpunk TCG Edgerunners Expansion Revealed [Confirmed]

Publisher WeirdCo officially unveiled Edgerunners: Burn Bright, the first major expansion for the record-breaking Cyberpunk Trading Card Game, confirming a Spring 2027 release window that integrates iconic characters, locations, and narrative moments directly from Studio Trigger's acclaimed Netflix anime series. According to verified reports from GameSpot News, the upcoming card set follows the tabletop adaptation's historic run as the most funded game in Kickstarter history. Alongside fresh board mechanics and a newly announced top-tier chase rarity, WeirdCo offered an exclusive first look at key card art, headlining veteran mercenary Maine and his signature smart-weapon, the L-69 Zhuo shotgun, titled 'Zhou, Maine's Answer.' Players can anticipate deep thematic integration that mirrors the high-octane violence and cyberware overload seen in Night City. Much like dynamic cross-media expansions such as the [Fortnite Nikki From Obsession Skin Crossover [Confirmed]](/news/fortnite-obsession-nikki-crossover-leak), this tabletop release merges cinematic narrative flair with rigid competitive mechanics. While WeirdCo has kept exact card text and damage values under wraps, designers confirmed that David Martinez's entire crew will feature across the collection, accompanied by dedicated weapon attachments and cyberware modifier cards that redefine active deck construction across upcoming sanctioned competitive playgroups worldwide.
