Valorant: Cloud9 Allows v1c to Explore Options [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from VLR.gg published in late 2026, North American esports organization Cloud9 has officially allowed controller specialist Victor v1c Truong to explore alternative team options for the upcoming 2027 competitive season. This major roster development follows the organization's exclusion from Riot Games' latest partnership agreements, forcing a complete strategic overhaul. Although v1c's contract technically runs through the 2026 season until free agency officially opens on November 2, management is granting him early flexibility. v1c originally joined Cloud9 ahead of the 2025 season, helping secure a fourth-place finish in Americas Stage 2 before taking a brief hiatus. Following a brief stint competing from home with Azure Dragon Gaming, he returned to C9 for Stage 2, ultimately finishing 9th-12th in the Play-Ins. As the franchise recalibrates its competitive pipeline, similar organizational shifts are occurring across the scene, mirroring earlier moves like when [Valorant: Cloud9 Coach Veer Enters Free Agency [Confirmed]](/news/cloud9-veer-free-agency-valorant). Analysts note that v1c's specialized Controller utility and tactical adaptability make him an attractive pickup for tier-one squads looking to bolster their smoke execution and retake protocols.
