Modes Compared: Cheats vs Features

WOW mode lets players build and share custom maps and experiences, with buff devices, map codes and custom rules as part of the toolkit. A buff device that strengthens a player inside a WOW map is a designed mechanic, not a cheat, because it exists inside the mode's own rules and every player in that map plays under the same system. The confusion comes from videos showing overpowered WOW setups without explaining that they only work inside that custom map. Outside WOW, those buffs do not exist.

Arena modes change respawn and round rules by design, and Payload adds vehicles, heavy weapons and recall towers that bring teammates back. All of these are mode mechanics with counters and costs: recall towers take time and expose you, heavy weapons are loud and limited, and Arena rounds reset the fight. Players who call these cheats are usually new to the mode. If a mechanic appears in the mode's own descriptions and works for every player in the lobby, it is a feature.

Zombie mode pits players against waves of AI zombies with special weapons and defences, and its difficulty spikes look unfair to players who expect normal battle royale rules. The zombies, their health and their damage are the mode's design, and the weapons and traps provided to fight them are part of the same design. A mode that feels impossible on the first attempt is usually a mode whose rules you have not learned yet, not a lobby full of cheaters.

If a trick requires a downloaded file, a modified client, a panel or a loader, it is a cheat, whatever mode it is used in. If it happens through the game's own buttons, menus, maps and mechanics, it is a feature, whatever it looks like. That single rule answers every mode question in this guide. For accounts ready for any mode, ready accounts are available through escrow on the PUBG accounts page (/en/pubg-accounts).
