3 Finger Claw Code for Beginners

In a 3 finger setup your left index finger takes over the fire button while your left thumb keeps moving and your right thumb keeps aiming. That one change removes the classic thumb-player problem: the moment where one thumb has to stop moving to shoot, or stop aiming to fire. You can now move and shoot at the same time, which alone wins close fights that thumbs lose. The learning curve is small because only one finger is learning a new job, and most players feel comfortable within a few days rather than weeks.

Place the fire button where your left index finger rests naturally, high enough that it does not block your view of enemies at mid range. Keep movement on the left thumb side and aim, jump and scope on the right thumb side, with buttons large enough to hit under pressure. Do not copy a pro layout exactly: hand size and phone size change what works, so move the fire button until your index finger rests on it without stretching. Save the layout to the cloud once it feels right, so a reinstall does not wipe your tuning.

Three fingers already fix the biggest delay in thumb play, and for casual and mid-ranked matches that is often enough. Four fingers add dedicated peek and crouch control, which matters most in competitive close fights, but the jump from three to four is harder than the jump from two to three. Stay on three fingers until shooting while moving feels automatic, then add the fourth finger only for peek buttons. If four fingers ever feel overwhelming, dropping back to three is not failure: it is a layout that already beats thumbs.

Start in the training ground, not ranked matches: drill moving while firing, then strafing while firing, then peek-and-shoot once those feel boring. Then play unranked matches for a few days and accept a small dip in results while muscle memory forms. Do not change your sensitivity at the same time as your layout: changing both at once teaches you nothing about which change helped. Once the layout is automatic, the sensitivity guide on this site explains how to tune your aim next, and ready accounts with high-level gear are listed on the PUBG accounts page (/en/pubg-accounts).
