AWM & Kar98k Sensitivity

AWM and Kar98k fire one shot at a time, so the sensitivity that matters is not spray control but scope movement: how fast your crosshair travels across a distant target while scoped. Values that feel perfect for red dot sprays will feel twitchy or sluggish at 6x and 8x, because magnification multiplies every movement. Sniper sensitivity is therefore tuned per scope, not per weapon, and a setup that works for assault rifles will almost never work for bolt-actions without adjustment.

Community-circulated starting points for sniper scopes sit well below assault rifle ADS values: 6x scope sensitivity low enough that small thumb movements do not throw the crosshair past a distant target, and 8x lower again. These are starting points from community posts, not official values, and they shift with your phone and grip. If your crosshair overshoots targets, lower the scope value in small steps; if it lags behind moving targets, raise it. Test with the same drill every time: track a moving target at long range before changing anything else.

Quick-scoping means scoping, firing and unscoping in one motion, and it depends on a scope value that lets you centre the target during the scope-in animation rather than after it. Practise the motion slowly first, then build speed: a fast miss teaches nothing, while a slow hit teaches the timing. Gyroscope can help snipers who use it, because fine gyro movement steadies long-range tracking, but it needs calibration flat on a table and a scope-only or always-on choice you stick with.

Drill one distance at a time in the training ground: ten shots at a stationary target, then ten at a moving target, then move further and repeat. When a distance feels consistent, add pressure: scope in, shoot, reposition, and repeat on a timer. Then practise the same drill with a 6x scope, which exposes sensitivity mistakes that lower scopes hide. If you want a maxed AWM skin without the crate grind, accounts that already own rare sniper skins are listed on the PUBG accounts page (/en/pubg-accounts).
