Control Resonant: Old Gods of Asgard

Old Gods of Asgard are a band within the world of Control Resonant, carrying forward a musical identity that fans of the wider universe will recognise. They are not background flavour alone: the band has a presence in the story, with songs and performances that tie into the world around them. Understanding them starts with treating them as characters in their own right, with a history and a sound.

Music in this universe is more than atmosphere. The band's songs carry weight in the story, shaping key moments and giving emotional shape to scenes that would feel flat without them. When an Old Gods of Asgard track plays, it usually signals that something important is happening, and paying attention to the music is part of paying attention to the story.

For players, the band matters because it connects the game to a larger musical mythology. Their songs reward listening, their presence adds colour to the world, and their role in the story gives long-time fans a thread to follow. Even for new players, the band is a good entry point into the tone of the game: loud, strange, and deliberately theatrical.
