Aion 2 Beginner Guide

Your starter pet choice should follow your role and your playstyle, not a ranking you found somewhere. A pet that suits how you actually play will feel useful every session, while a pet picked from a tier list can feel wrong the moment your build or habits differ. Think about what you need support with, whether that is solo survivability, group utility or just a companion that fits your pace, and choose with that in mind.

When you receive a pet selection chest, do not open it in a rush. Read what it offers, compare the options against the role and playstyle thinking above, and only then commit. A selection chest is a one-time decision in the moment, and the few minutes spent choosing carefully beat the regret of picking blind. If you are unsure, leave the chest alone until you have played enough to know what you want.

Seasonal festivals, in the style of the Shugo Festival, are time-limited events with their own activities and an event shop. The method is straightforward: participate in the festival activities, check the event shop to see what is actually on offer, and do not spend blindly. Festival currency and shop stock are limited by design, so window-shop first, pick the items that fit your goals, and ignore the rest no matter how shiny they look.

Hotbar setup is a beginner system that pays off forever. Place your most-used skills where your fingers reach them naturally, group related skills together so your rotations flow, and keep emergency skills in a consistent spot you can hit under pressure. Revisit the layout after a few sessions, because a hotbar that made sense at level one may feel clumsy once your rotation grows. A clean hotbar is the difference between reacting and fumbling.
