Fortnite Fortnitemares Sidekicks Guide

Fortnitemares sidekicks are companions that join you during the Fortnitemares event in Fortnite. They add a companion layer to matches, giving you a partner that follows your play and supports you in the Halloween-themed chaos. The system is seasonal, so it arrives with Fortnitemares and shapes how matches feel while the event runs.

A sidekick supports you during a match, acting as a companion presence alongside your own play. The value of a sidekick comes from how it fits your approach: it should complement what you already do, not distract from it. Learn what your sidekick does in ordinary play before relying on it in a tense fight, so you know when it helps and when to play around it.

Using a sidekick well starts with treating it as part of your loadout thinking. Pick a sidekick that fits your playstyle, learn its behaviour in low-pressure matches, and then bring it into serious play once you understand it. A sidekick you understand is an asset; a sidekick you ignore is just noise. Play a few matches with it before judging whether it suits you.
