How to Fix Negative UC & Prevent Refund Bans in PUBG Mobile
A complete technical guide on diagnosing negative UC balances, navigating Krafton financial fraud penalties, and pre-purchase account auditing to guarantee 100% scam immunity.
Negative UC in PUBG Mobile occurs when previously purchased in-game currency is refunded or charged back after being spent. Krafton places the account under a temporary deficit lock (typically 7–30 days) during which the player cannot participate in matches or open crates. To fix negative UC, the player must top up the exact negative deficit through official authorized payment rails (Midasbuy or verified escrow) and submit the transaction receipt to in-game Customer Service.
Why Negative UC Happens: The Anatomy of a Refund Scam
When rogue third-party sellers offer “cheap 50% off UC”, they often use stolen credit cards or exploit Google Play / Apple App Store refund loopholes. Once the UC is loaded into the victim's PUBG account and spent on crates or X-Suits, the original payment method files a chargeback.
Krafton's billing system automatically claws back the revenue. Because the items have already been unpacked, Krafton converts the deficit into a Negative UC balance (e.g., -16,200 UC).

Frequently Asked Questions
What causes a negative UC balance in PUBG Mobile?
Negative UC occurs when a player or third-party seller purchases UC, spends it on crates or X-Suits, and subsequently issues a payment chargeback or refund via Google Play, Apple App Store, or a credit card provider. Krafton detects the missing funds and deducts the equivalent UC from the account, forcing the balance into negative territory.
Will my account get banned if I have negative UC?
Yes. Krafton typically gives a 7-day to 30-day grace period to repay the negative UC deficit. If the balance remains negative after the deadline, the account is permanently suspended under the Illegal Currency Acquisition and Financial Fraud clause.
How does 217G verify that accounts for sale have 0 negative UC risk?
During our escrow audit, our senior trade broker inspects the live UC ledger, checks the in-game Security Center penalty log, and verifies that no refund disputes have been filed within the preceding 90 days before approving the listing.
