Sarfaraz Khan CSK Snub: Wasim Jaffer Massive Claim [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from Sportskeeda Esports & BGMI published on October 23, 2026, former Indian cricket opener Wasim Jaffer has made a massive claim that national selectors are deliberately ignoring Chennai Super Kings batter Sarfaraz Khan for non-cricketing reasons. Jaffer highlighted the glaring disconnect between the 28-year-old batter's stellar domestic statistics and his ongoing absence from the national squad during the high-stakes NZ vs IND 2026 series. Despite holding a commendable Test average of 37.10 with 371 runs amassed across 11 innings, Sarfaraz continues to find himself sidelined by the selection committee. This surprising exclusion has sparked intense debate among analysts, fans, and former players who question the transparency of player evaluations. Parallels are frequently drawn to other high-profile selection controversies, such as those analyzed in the [Vaibhav Suryavanshi NZ vs IND T20I: Karthik Picks Role [Confirmed]](/news/vaibhav-suryavanshi-ind-vs-nz-2026), highlighting recurring squad selection transparency issues. Industry experts emphasize that consistent match-winning performances should override external biases, ensuring that elite talent is duly rewarded on the international stage. Stakeholders across competitive esports and traditional sporting ecosystems continue monitoring these roster dynamics closely.
