Trollheim Gnomes Co-Op Survival Preview [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from PC Gamer in 2026, Off-leash Interactive revealed Trollheim: Gnomes, an innovative co-op survival crafting game where miniature sprýg gnomes must build homes in a dark forest while coexisting with complex troll neighbors. According to game director Jojje Dalunde, the title reimagines traditional survival tropes by treating forest entities known as väsen—including faeries, sirens, and massive trolls—not merely as hostile enemies to be farmed for loot, but as dynamic neighbors influencing player survival. Displaced from Midgård by Oden, players must balance classic survival mechanics like enduring severe cold and gathering food with navigating delicate diplomatic relationships with these towering forest inhabitants. Furthermore, base building mechanics require strategic positioning to avoid angering local fauna, introducing a fresh layer of territorial tension previously unseen in standard crafting titles.
