PUBG Modding Contest 2026: Krafton Offers $95K [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from Dexerto PUBG, Krafton and CurseForge launched the PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS UGC Contest on August 3, 2026, offering a massive $95,000 cash prize pool to incentivize community modders to build the game's next major mode. Timed alongside the rollout of PUBG: Playgrounds—a dedicated in-game hub designed to showcase player-crafted experiences—the initiative invites creators to submit original modifications across three distinct pillars: Combat, Survival, and Creative. Thirty winning modifications will be permanently integrated into the core game, fundamentally altering how casual and competitive participants interact with battlefield architecture. Furthermore, structural integration of CurseForge pipelines ensures seamless installation and asset distribution for millions of active global users. This developer-led pivot represents a significant departure from traditional content pipelines, empowering grassroots architects rather than relying exclusively on internal studios. As players transition from surviving standard battle royale circles to exploring community-built sandboxes, competitive enthusiasts are already analyzing how these custom mechanics might influence official tournament maps.
