PS Plus October 2026 lineup brings Mafia: The Old Country and Horizon Forbidden West to active subscribers. Read the full tactical breakdown on 217G.
Sony has officially confirmed the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup for October 2026, delivering Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West, and brand-new co-op looter shooter Mycopunk directly to all active PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers worldwide starting mid-month. According to verified reports from IGN Articles, this latest library expansion reinforces Sony's commitment to premium narrative and multiplayer depth. Mafia: The Old Country acts as a gritty linear prequel set within the iconic crime syndicate universe, building upon its critically acclaimed 8/10 debut with bundled post-launch story expansions. Joining the crime drama is Guerrilla Games' blockbuster action RPG Horizon Forbidden West, previously celebrated with a stellar 9/10 review for its fluid archery combat, staggering visual fidelity, and sprawling robotic wildlife across post-apocalyptic frontiers. Multiplayer enthusiasts also gain immediate access to Mycopunk, an adrenaline-pumping cooperative looter shooter designed around intricate squad synergies and gear grinding. Fans of deep gear progression will find similarities to mechanics featured in our [ARC Raiders Weapon Amplification: Best Endgame AMPS [Full Guide]](/news/arc-raiders-weapon-amplification-guide). Both Extra and Premium members can download and stream these titles without additional purchase requirements as long as their subscription tier remains active on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 hardware.
How this development impacts competitive gameplay, professional metas, and community markets.
The arrival of Mycopunk introduces high-stakes squad coordination to the PlayStation ecosystem, forcing fireteams to optimize weapon loadouts, status-effect synergies, and time-to-kill efficiency against aggressive alien swarms. In competitive speedrunning circles, Horizon Forbidden West re-emerges as a premier technical benchmark. Runners must master weapon-wheel cycling, elemental tear mechanics, and precise weak-point exploitation across Ultra Hard difficulty runs to capture world-record leaderboard timings. Meanwhile, Mafia: The Old Country delivers punishing vintage cover-shooting mechanics where ammo scarcity and strict hit detection demand pinpoint accuracy and methodical positioning. These tactical layers elevate casual catalog drops into serious competitive challenges. Fireteams transitioning across tier-based co-op shooters must adapt communication protocols and role distribution rapidly, as Mycopunk's endgame incursions penalize uncoordinated squad rotations and unoptimized gear builds in high-tier matchmaking queues.
Premium catalog refreshes consistently stimulate secondary console account markets and profile liquidity. When blockbuster titles like Horizon Forbidden West and Mafia: The Old Country enter PlayStation Plus Extra, secondary market demand for fully loaded PSN profiles with legacy trophy completions, exclusive seasonal cosmetics, and active high-tier memberships spikes significantly. On the 217G gaming marketplace, verified high-rank competitive IDs and multi-game PlayStation accounts routinely command between PKR 20,000 and PKR 100,000 (AED 300 to AED 1,500), depending on accumulated digital library depth, rare platinum trophies, and cross-title progression. The addition of Mycopunk creates an emergent trade channel for grinding service runs, rare cooperative drop farming, and cosmetic unlocks. Buyers and sellers navigating these high-value transfers depend upon 217G verified escrow protection, which eliminates fraud, secures credentials through rigorous dispute verification, and ensures seamless peer-to-peer digital asset transactions across global gaming communities.
PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members can officially download October's Game Catalog additions starting Tuesday, October 20, 2026. Sony is slated to unveil upcoming November 2026 monthly essential titles during the final week of October, while developer updates for Mycopunk's inaugural seasonal raid circuit will drop before winter 2026. Keep your console storage prepared and check back with 217G for patch breakdowns and tactical walkthroughs.
PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can download the October 2026 Game Catalog lineup starting on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. The games unlock automatically at 10:00 AM local PlayStation Store refresh time across North American, European, and Asian regional storefronts without requiring any additional purchase or code activation.
No, Mafia: The Old Country is strictly available for PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers as part of the rotating Game Catalog. PS Plus Essential members receive standard monthly redeemable titles and must upgrade their subscription tier to play Mafia: The Old Country and Horizon Forbidden West.
The 217G marketplace protects digital trades by holding buyer payments in a secure escrow vault until full account ownership and login credentials are confirmed. Dedicated verification specialists ensure the PSN account contains promised game licenses, rare cosmetic unlocks, and valid subscription status before releasing funds to the seller.
