God of War Live Action: Olivier Richters Eyes Tyr [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from IGN Articles, massive seven-foot actor Olivier Richters publicly expressed his strong desire to portray the Norse god Tyr in Prime Video’s highly anticipated live-action God of War series following a rigorous audition process. Richters, standing over seven feet tall and weighing more than 350 pounds, revealed during the Street Fighter red carpet that he came exceptionally close to landing the iconic lead role of Kratos. He advanced deep into the audition stages, securing two callbacks before the production ultimately cast Dave Bautista. The role of Kratos initially faced a casting pivot after Ryan Hurst was forced to step down due to a serious bicep injury sustained during stunt training. Recognizing his physical stature, Richters believes playing the towering Norse war god Tyr would be an ideal fit for his unique build and growing acting portfolio. As television adaptations of legendary gaming franchises accelerate through 2026, casting decisions remain a focal point for enthusiasts worldwide.
