Modern Warfare 4 Known Issues: Full Bug List [Patch Notes]

Infinity Ward officially updated its official Modern Warfare 4 known issues board on October 26, cataloging urgent multiplayer performance bugs, server disconnects, and progression tracking faults that disrupted competitive matches immediately following the title's global launch rollout. According to verified reports from Insider Gaming, the development studio identified high-priority defects impacting player progression, weapon mastery camos, and PC client stability. Among the most critical problems tracked on the developer's public Trello board are crashes triggered during custom loadout editing, missing battle pass rewards, and severe desync during high-stakes Hardpoint rotations. Infinity Ward confirmed that dedicated server optimizations are actively rolling out, much like the technical refinements tracked in [S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Update 2.1: The Zone Lookout [Patch Notes]](/news/stalker-2-version-2-1-update). Key audio bugs causing silent footsteps and muffled environmental cues in Search and Destroy lobbies are also being targeted for rapid resolution. Furthermore, UI hitches in the Gunsmith interface—where unlocked attachments falsely appear locked—have received temporary server-side hotfixes while full client patches undergo platform certification across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Battle.net. Studio engineers emphasized that regular status updates will continue as telemetry data highlights secondary weapon balance anomalies.
