MW4 Attestation Failure: How to Fix New Key Error [Full Guide]

To fix the Modern Warfare 4 New Key Failed to Generate error and bypass the Attestation Failure lockout, players must enable UEFI Secure Boot within their system BIOS and update firmware drivers to validate hardware integrity against Activision kernel-level anti-cheat servers. According to verified reports from Destructoid, this persistent connection blocker isolates PC users from logging into multiplayer playlists and the newly contested extraction zones. The issue arises when security certificates fail to handshake with anti-cheat attestation protocols, falsely flagging client hardware as unqualified. Beyond BIOS adjustments, clearing the temporary credential cache inside the game directory and running system-level attestation diagnostics systematically clears the bug. This disruption lands amidst heated discussions surrounding matchmaking balance, mirroring the ongoing [MW4 DMZ PvP vs PvE Debate Ignites Community [Confirmed]](/news/mw4-dmz-pve-vs-pvp-debate) that continues to polarize extraction operators. Destructoid emphasizes that leaving Secure Boot in legacy CSM mode guarantees recurring matchmaking denials, particularly following weekly security integrity passes. Once UEFI parameters are saved and trusted platform modules authenticate successfully, Modern Warfare 4 immediately restores standard matchmaking queues, allowing players to rejoin squad rotations without risking permanent account penalty flags or server-side shadow restrictions.
