Modern Warfare 4 Server Culling Anti Cheat Wall Hacks Impact [2026 Update]

As originally reported by Dexerto, Infinity Ward has officially unveiled an advanced anti-cheat countermeasure dubbed 'Server Culling' for Modern Warfare 4, engineered to systematically neutralize wall hacks. The exploit industry, which Activision estimated generates over $8.5 billion annually across global gaming ecosystems, traditionally relies on reading unencrypted client-side enemy positional coordinates transmitted across the network. Modern Warfare 4 counters this vulnerability by embedding dynamic occlusion layers directly into map geometry. Under this architecture, the server actively calculates line-of-sight and suppresses enemy rendering data until a player legitimately enters an opponent's visual cone or immediate acoustic threshold. By refusing to distribute spatial telemetry to external clients prior to actual visibility, memory-scraping wall hacks are rendered virtually obsolete. Dexerto highlighted that this spatial data filtering is deeply integrated into core multiplayer maps, shielding standard playlists and ranked arenas alike from unauthorized positional exploitation. This server-authoritative pivot marks a major evolution in Activision’s ongoing technical war against illicit third-party software developers.
