Mafia III PS5 and Xbox Series X/S 60 FPS Update [Confirmed]

While Mafia III is primarily a single-player narrative sandbox rather than an esports title, hardware performance updates fundamentally alter high-level speedrunning tactics and weapon meta execution. Stabilizing gameplay at a locked 60 frames per second dramatically improves input latency, precision gunfight tracking, time-to-kill (TTK) optimization during chaotic drive-by shootouts, and evasive driving maneuvers across the sprawling districts of New Bordeaux. Speedrunners can now execute complex map routing exploits and frame-perfect combat glitches with unprecedented consistency, reshaping global leaderboard records. Furthermore, this technical modernization breathes new life into community-driven challenge runs and tactical weapon tier lists, encouraging veteran players to re-evaluate loadout efficiency—such as maximizing silenced pistol headshot multipliers and heavy LMG suppression rates—during high-difficulty playthroughs. For competitive communities transitioning between heavy tactical shooters like [Valor Mortis Review: Napoleonic Action Game [Confirmed]](/news/valor-mortis-review-napoleonic-action) and story-driven crime epics, smooth hardware performance ensures that mechanical execution remains sharp, fluid, and entirely responsive under extreme pressure.
