Rocket League Bans Kofyr Until 2027, Shaking Competitive Landscape [2026 Update]

As originally reported by Esports.gg, Psyonix announced a multi‑year suspension for Angel “Kofyr” Lopez, effective until the close of 2027. The official statement referenced a breach of the Rocket League esports code of conduct but omitted specific details, leading the community to infer that repeated inappropriate behavior triggered the sanction. Kofyr, who rose through Demons, Spacestation Gaming, and most recently Shopify Rebellion, had been a fixture in RLCS playoffs, securing a Top 8 finish at the 2025 World Finals and a Top 2 finish at the 2026 Kick‑Off Weekend. The ban not only halts his competitive participation for the next three RLCS cycles but also forces his current organization to seek a replacement ahead of the 2027 season.
