Erling Haaland Call of Duty Camper Reveal [Confirmed]

Erling Haaland, the Manchester City striker, openly admitted on October 21, 2024 that he has been a lifelong camper in Call of Duty during a 1‑v‑1 Modern Warfare 4 session with English rapper Harrison “Aitch” Armstrong, confirming the claim in a publicly posted YouTube video. According to verified reports from GameSpot News, Haaland said, “I’m that guy that you hate. I’ll probably get some hate now, but it is what it is,” while demonstrating his playstyle on the map “Crossfire.” The clip quickly went viral, prompting heated discussion across Twitch, Reddit, and Discord about the legitimacy of camping in competitive shooters. Fans praised his honesty, while critics warned it could normalize a tactic many consider unsportsmanlike. The incident also coincided with the recent release of the Modern Warfare 4 patch, which introduced new anti‑camping detection tools – see our analysis in the [Modern Warfare 4 Patch: 20 New Maps, Weapons & Modes [Confirmed]](/news/modern-warfare-4-patch-notes).
