Elder Scrolls Summerset: New Tabletop RPG Unveiled [Confirmed]

Bethesda Softworks and Chip Theory Games have officially revealed The Elder Scrolls: Summerset, a major standalone expansion to Betrayal of the Second Era that transports tabletop strategists directly into the high fantasy homeland of the Altmer for brutal cooperative campaigns. According to verified reports from Game Rant, this release marks the first dedicated return to the Summerset Isles since Elder Scrolls Online, translating sprawling provincial lore into premium neoprene mats, custom skill dice, and modular tactical combat. The expansion deepens the core system's asymmetrical character builds, pitting solo adventurers and cooperative parties against ancient Daedric conspiracies threatening Tamriel. Much like the ambitious campaign design celebrated in the [Monarchs at Play Demo Launch: 4X PC Strategy [Confirmed]](/news/monarchs-at-play-steam-demo-launch) coverage, Summerset introduces regional guild quests and multi-session narrative branches that fundamentally evolve encounter difficulty based on previous player choices. Chip Theory Games confirms that the title functions seamlessly alongside the existing base game while offering a completely self-contained entry point for new hobbyists eager to explore High Elf politics and treacherous ruins. Backers and physical board game enthusiasts can access pre-order channels ahead of the scheduled retail rollout.
