CS2 Steam Rival: Former Valve Writer Baffles At Tim Sweeney Vibe Coding [Confirmed]

Former Valve writer Chet Faliszek has publicly expressed utter bafflement over Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney's obsessive online crusade against Gabe Newell and the dominance of Steam. According to verified reports from PC Gamer, Faliszek criticized Sweeney's bizarre promotional strategy for a newly announced 'vibe coded' launcher update, which featured direct, unsolicited cheap shots comparing Epic's platform to Gabe Newell's famous yachts. Faliszek, renowned for his legendary writing work on Half-Life 2, Portal 2, and Left 4 Dead, highlighted how Sweeney frequently fixates on Newell's personal assets rather than focusing on software quality. The bizarre marketing rollout left industry insiders and veteran developers stunned, particularly because the announcement openly admitted to cutting corners in software programming. Analysts and former developers note that Epic's continued obsession with undermining Steam's market share has resulted in repeated PR missteps, failing to capture meaningful user loyalty within the core PC gaming and esports community despite billions spent on exclusive game giveaways.
