Big Walk Xbox Port: House House Backs BDS Boycott [Confirmed]

House House has officially confirmed that its cooperative adventure game Big Walk will not launch on Xbox Series X/S consoles following the studio's formal adherence to the Palestinian-led Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement targeting Microsoft. According to verified reports from Game Informer, the Australian developer behind Untitled Goose Game clarified that the exclusion of Xbox from its platform lineup was an intentional geopolitical stance rather than a technical limitation. Big Walk debuted in August across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and macOS to widespread critical acclaim, leaving Microsoft hardware as the sole excluded contemporary console environment. In an official public communique, House House verified that while the team would appreciate players experiencing their title on Xbox hardware, no release will occur until Microsoft and its gaming divisions are cleared from BDS priority boycott registries. The decision follows discussions surrounding third-party publisher commitments highlighted during the [Xbox ID Showcase October 2026: All New Games [Confirmed]](/news/id-xbox-showcase-october-2026-recap), underscoring how developer autonomy continues to intersect with international advocacy campaigns. Game Informer verified that House House remains resolute, closing off platform porting inquiries indefinitely.
