Batman Movie: Affleck Planned Arkham Deathstroke Clash [Leak]

Ben Affleck's canceled standalone Batman film was designed to feature an explosive melee showdown against Deathstroke heavily inspired by Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Asylum video game series alongside an appearance by Batgirl, according to new revelations by actor Joe Manganiello. According to verified reporting from IGN Articles, Manganiello disclosed the unproduced project's narrative architecture in his newly published memoir, Bloodlines: A Memoir. Excerpts shared via Entertainment Weekly describe the storyline as a psychological thriller akin to David Fincher's The Game, where Deathstroke systematically dismantled Bruce Wayne's personal life and murdered several close allies. Affleck originally conceived the project following Slade Wilson's cameo in the theatrical Justice League post-credits scene. The climactic duel between the Dark Knight and Deathstroke was engineered to mirror the visceral, rhythmic counter-combat popularized by the Batman: Arkham gaming franchise, bringing interactive combat choreography directly onto the silver screen. Similar to retrospective insights shared on [Star Wars Galactic Racer: Biddy Blas Actor Speaks [Confirmed]](/news/star-wars-galactic-racer-biddy-blas-155), these behind-the-scenes disclosures highlight how cinematic universes frequently adapt digital action blueprints. Although the project was dismantled during Warner Bros. leadership transitions, Manganiello's account offers an authoritative breakdown of what could have been DC's most action-intensive adaptation.
