Following Orders Notes Guide

Following Orders hides eight collectibles in total: four notes and four contraband items. Treat the mission as an evidence hunt first and a confrontation second. Every note you read and every contraband item you pick up adds context for what comes later, so search thoroughly before you move the story forward. Rushing to the interrogation with missing evidence leaves you guessing, while a full collection gives you the strongest position.

Start your search in the first house, where six of the eight collectibles are hidden. Check the red toolbox in the first room on the right, then work through the bathroom wall cabinet, a room cabinet, and the kitchen cupboards. Open everything methodically rather than sprinting room to room, because several of these spots are easy to walk past. By the time you leave the first house, you should have most of the collection already secured.

The second house holds nothing to collect, so do not waste time tearing it apart looking for items that are not there. The third house holds the last two collectibles. Look in the bedroom cabinet for one, and find the other note in a kitchen floor hatch that you reach with a key found in a cabinet. Once you have all four notes and all four contraband items, you are ready for the interrogation with the full picture.

The toolbox code comes from a recipe note, and the method matters more than memorising digits. The note says to skip the salt, and reading the remaining quantities in order gives the code 214. For the interrogation itself, collect all of your evidence before questioning the couple, then use dialogue choices to resolve the situation without harming civilians. A peaceful resolution earns the No Harm Done achievement, while collecting every note and every contraband item earns No Stone Unturned.
