How to Unlink a Call of Duty Account

Unlinking happens in your Activision account, not inside a single game. Sign in to your Activision account on the official Activision site and open the linked accounts section, where every platform and service tied to the account is listed. Each entry shows which platform is linked and gives you the option to remove it. Make sure you are signed in to the right Activision account first, because many players hold more than one and unlink the wrong one by mistake. If you play Call of Duty Mobile, check the account settings in the game as well, since some links are managed there.

Find the platform you want to remove in the linked accounts list and choose the unlink option next to it. The screen will show a warning about what unlinking does, so read it fully before you confirm, because the warning is specific to the link you are removing. Confirm the removal and check that the entry disappears from the list. If the option is greyed out or missing, try another browser, clear the cache, and sign in again, since a stale session is the most common cause. Our account unbinding guide covers the same careful approach for another game.

Unlinking a platform can cut that platform off from the progress tied to your Activision account, so check the on-screen warning for exactly what you will lose. Progress, purchases, and unlocks that live on the Activision account itself usually stay with the account, while anything tied only to the platform link may stop being reachable. Relinking the same platform later may involve a waiting period before it is allowed again, so do not unlink on a guess and expect to undo it at once. If the account holds progress you care about, take screenshots of your linked accounts list before you change anything.

If the unlink button does nothing, sign out fully and sign back in, then try a different browser or device, because login sessions cause most failed attempts. If the link you want to remove does not appear at all, you may be signed in to a different Activision account than the one holding the link. Check every email you might have used and sign in to each one to find the right account. If the option is still missing after that, contact Activision support from the account that holds the link, and keep the warning message or error text ready to quote. Our account deletion guide explains when removal is a different step from unlinking.
