How to Link Your COD Mobile Account

An unlinked COD Mobile account lives only on one device, so a lost phone, a broken screen, or an accidental uninstall can wipe months of progress. Linking the account to a login method you control, such as an Activision account or a social login, gives you a way back in on any device. It also protects you if you ever sell or trade the account, because a linked login is part of what a buyer checks first. Link the account before you need the backup, not after something goes wrong.

Open COD Mobile and go to the settings menu from the top of the main screen, then look for the account or link section. You will see the login methods the game supports, and you can pick the one you already own and can recover. Follow the prompts to sign in to that method and confirm the link inside the game. If a method is already linked to a different COD Mobile account, the game will tell you, and you will need to pick another method or sort out the old link first. After linking, close the game completely and open it again to make sure you land on the same account with the same rank, loadouts, and progress. Then check the account section in settings once more and confirm your chosen login method shows as linked. If you can, sign in on a second device with the same login method and confirm the same account loads there. That test proves the link is real and not just a display change. If the progress looks different on the second device, stop and re-check which login method each device used before playing further.

A failed link is usually caused by one of three things: the login method is already tied to another account, the sign-in details are wrong, or the game needs an update. First, confirm the login details work outside the game, then update COD Mobile and try again on stable Wi-Fi. If the method is already linked elsewhere, you must either use a different method or recover the old account first, because one login method can only hold one game account. Never share your login details or verification codes with anyone offering to link the account for you, and never pay a stranger for this — it takes a few minutes and needs no middleman. If you are buying an account instead of linking your own, browse verified accounts on the store (/store) and check the link status before you pay.
