Fortnite Obsession Sidekicks Explained

Sidekicks are companions in Fortnite that appear alongside your character. The Fortnitemares 2026 sidekicks, including the one tied to the Obsession theme, are part of that companion system. They add character to your loadout rather than replacing your weapons or items.

A sidekick follows your character and adds to the look and feel of a match. The exact behaviour of each sidekick is described in the game itself, so check the item description and the in-game showcase before assuming what it can do in a match or how it reacts.

Open your locker or collection screens and look for the sidekick section. There you can see which sidekicks you own, how each one looks, and any description the game gives. That in-game text is the most reliable source of detail available to players.

Patch notes and official announcements are the best sources for sidekick details, since fan posts can mix confirmed facts with guesses. For a related guide, see our Fortnitemares sidekicks guide for more on the set.
