Cinder's Cradle Region Guide

Cinder's Cradle sits north of the Veilwater Basin, past the opened gates, and reaching it requires meeting its Flame Level requirement first. That requirement is the region's way of making sure you arrive prepared, since the Shroud and the region's challenges hit harder than earlier areas. Before heading north, make sure your Flame is up to level, stock up, and treat the trip as an expedition rather than a quick look.

The region's material palette is a big part of its appeal. Basalt and Moonstone are the headline gathering materials, feeding the Ancients building recipes, while Celestium Ore and Diamond in the Shroud give explorers deeper reasons to push into dangerous ground. Knowing what you are looking for before you arrive helps you prioritise: gather the basics as you go, and plan dedicated runs for the rarer Shroud materials once you know the safe routes.

Two region systems shape how you move through Cinder's Cradle. Sky islands reward gliding, turning vertical exploration into a core skill rather than a novelty, since some locations are only reachable from the air. Spark doors work the other way, gating specific spots behind a mechanism you must engage with, so a closed Spark door is a puzzle to solve, not a dead end. Together they make the region feel layered, with ground, air and gated spaces all in play.

Explore systematically rather than wandering. Clear one area at a time, note the Spark doors and sky island launch points you find, and return to gated spots once you have what they need. Keep your Flame Altar network in mind as you push outward, so you always have a safe fallback. This method avoids the common trap of half-exploring everywhere and finishing nowhere, and it leaves you with a region you actually know.
