CoD Mobile Account Unlink Safety Guide

Unlinking matters whenever an account changes hands, changes login method or moves between platforms. Sellers unlink old logins so a buyer can truly own the account, and players unlink when they switch how they sign in. Done properly, unlinking is clean housekeeping. Done carelessly, it can lock the real owner out of progress they spent years building.

Start by checking your linked accounts in settings so you know exactly what is attached and which login is primary. Before you unlink anything, make sure a recovery login stays attached, because you need at least one reliable way back into the account. Then unlink only the login you intend to remove, and verify afterwards that the remaining logins still sign in correctly and that your progress is intact.

The single biggest unlinking mistake is removing the only login that can access the account. Once that last route is gone, recovery becomes a support case with no guarantee, and progress tied to the account is stuck behind a door you just closed. If you are unsure whether another login works, test it first by signing in with it before you unlink anything else.

Progress in CoD Mobile is tied to the account, not to the device, so losing the account means losing the progress with it. Unlinking also affects how the account can be recovered, sold or transferred later, so treat every unlink as a permanent-feeling change even when it can technically be reversed. Take screenshots of your linked-account screen before and after, keep your recovery login details safe, and never unlink on someone else's instruction during a deal you do not fully understand.
