Zelda Nintendo Switch 2 Restock: Amazon Drops Units [Confirmed]

Amazon has officially opened surprise pre-order restocks for the limited 40th Anniversary Legend of Zelda Nintendo Switch 2 hardware edition ahead of next week's global consumer release, giving retail shoppers a rare final window to secure launch day delivery before allocations sell out. According to verified reports from GamesRadar, regional distribution centers received fresh allocation waves across North America and Europe, countering severe hardware shortages reported during initial pre-order rollouts. The anniversary bundle features custom gold-accented Joy-Con controllers, bespoke dock artwork commemorating four decades of the franchise, and pre-loaded digital entitlements. Industry observers note that while recent console partnerships experienced friction—echoing disruptions seen when the [Xbox Netflix $800M Movie Deal Falls Through [Confirmed]](/news/xbox-netflix-adaptation-deal-collapses)—Nintendo locked down localized retail distribution channels to guarantee unit delivery. High demand crashed checkout queues within minutes of the surprise drop, with cart reservation timers limited to five minutes per account to thwart bot scalpers. Buyers unable to complete checkout through Amazon are encouraged to monitor verified inventory alerts, as regional retail partners prepare rolling batch drops leading directly into official launch morning.
