Xbox Nano Controller: Price, Release Date [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from Polygon published on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Microsoft officially announced the brand-new Xbox Nano controller, a pocket-sized $49.99 hardware device designed specifically for portable gaming and smaller hands. Expanding on the announcement, the Xbox Nano controller introduces a highly portable alternative to standard wireless controllers that traditionally retail at $64.99 and high-end elite variants costing $149.99. Measuring a compact five inches wide and weighing a feather-light 3.5 ounces, the device drastically undercuts the standard Xbox wireless controller, which measures six inches and weighs ten ounces. Despite the downsized dimensions, Microsoft confirmed that the Nano controller retains all eighteen standard gameplay inputs, ensuring zero compromises on functionality during intense gaming sessions. Built with younger players and mobile cloud gamers in mind, the hardware directly complements broader industry trends toward portable ecosystems.
