Xbox Nano Controller Specs: Price, Battery & Size [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from Kotaku in October 2026, Microsoft has officially unveiled the brand-new Xbox Nano controller, a smaller, cheaper gaming peripheral featuring a built-in rechargeable battery specifically designed for modern mobile gaming and PC streaming setups. While primarily pitched for younger demographics playing titles like Minecraft Dungeons 2 or casual users streaming cloud gaming sessions to televisions and PCs, the device lacks specialized native cloud latency-reduction hardware. Interestingly, its ergonomic chassis closely mirrors the canceled cloud gaming prototype that leaked earlier this year. Crucially, ditching traditional AA cells in favor of internal lithium power finally resolves a long-standing community grievance regarding standard Xbox controllers. Microsoft is aggressively pairing the hardware rollout with lucrative promotional bundles, including a two-month Game Pass Ultimate subscription for new members purchasing selected Samsung smart TVs or Oculus VR headsets. Currently available exclusively in a clean matte white colorway, industry analysts anticipate additional chromatic variants—such as translucent green—following the official retail launch.
