Xbox Nano Controller: Mobile & PC Gamepad Announced [Confirmed]

Microsoft has officially revealed the Xbox Nano Controller, an ultra-compact wireless gamepad engineered for seamless compatibility across Xbox consoles, PC, iOS, and Android mobile devices, with global pre-orders opening ahead of its targeted launch later in 2026. According to verified reporting from Pocket Gamer, the Xbox Nano Controller represents Microsoft's boldest hardware departure yet, shrinking the traditional ergonomic footprint into an everyday pocket-friendly form factor without sacrificing fundamental inputs. Unlike fragmented clip-on accessories, the Nano delivers dual responsive thumbsticks, a directional d-pad, tactile bumpers, triggers, and a reprogrammable rear action button that enables custom binding profiles for fast-paced shooters. Mobile compatibility operates via low-latency Bluetooth and direct USB-C connectivity, unlocking high-precision tactile play for cloud titles and native handheld titles like those highlighted in our [Monster Hunter Mobile: All iOS & Android Games [Full Guide]](/news/monster-hunter-mobile-games-guide-2026). Microsoft confirmed that the peripheral will retail alongside promotional Xbox Game Pass bundles, targeting gamers who demand console-grade inputs on small smartphone displays without lugging full-sized chassis across daily commutes.
