WoW Forever Patch: Tauren Racial Buff 60% Speed [Confirmed]

Blizzard Entertainment has rolled out a major last-minute balance patch for World of Warcraft: Forever ahead of its global launch, officially granting Tauren characters a game-breaking 60 percent movement speed boost that drastically recalibrates faction parity and classic race selection. According to verified reports from PC Gamer, Blizzard dropped this final balance pass to address longstanding min-maxing debates among legacy MMO purists. Rather than homogenizing racial perks, developers leaned into distinct asymmetric advantages, transforming bovine heroes into literal racecars across Azeroth's early zones. The adjustments directly impact the leveling grind, making Plainsrunning-style sprint capabilities a dominant asset for Horde players targeting realm-first milestones. The studio's timing caught theorycrafters off guard, as guilds had spent weeks calculating optimal DPS thresholds down to single-digit percentage variations. While Alliance min-maxers previously favored Human weapon skills and Gnome intellect bonuses, this raw mobility spike disrupts pre-launch guild planning entirely. Similar unexpected corporate strategies echo across the wider industry, much like the recent [Microsoft Buyout Plan: 60,000 Gaming Jobs At Risk [Confirmed]](/news/microsoft-buyout-offer-workforce-cuts). As server launch approaches, Blizzard confirmed no further hotfixes will alter racial traits before the gates open, establishing a volatile, speed-centric meta right from character creation.
