WoW Forever Beta Nerfs Dungeon XP, Shifts Player Progression [2026 Update]

As originally reported by PC Gamer, the WoW: Forever beta has slashed dungeon quest experience by half, but simultaneously increased the bonus XP granted by dungeon‑specific quests. Blizzard’s developers explained the adjustment as a way to encourage players to run each dungeon once or twice to finish all associated quests, then move back to open‑world content. The design intent is to reduce grind fatigue while still rewarding players who complete the full quest chain. This nuanced shift contrasts with the headline‑grabbing nerf, showing that overall leveling speed may remain stable for most players.
