VCT Americas 2026: Partnered Teams Revealed [Confirmed]

Riot Games officially announced the restructuring of the VCT Americas league on October 18, contracting the primary circuit to eight two-year partnered organizations across North America, LATAM, and Brazil, with Sentinels, G2 Esports, LOUD, and KRU Esports securing the first confirmed franchise slots. According to verified reports from VLR.gg, the transition signals an aggressive shift away from the previous ten-partner plus Ascension model toward a tighter regional matrix. While regional expansion previously invited broader rosters, Riot's revised operational mandates enforce a leaner ecosystem divided into North America, LATAM North, LATAM South, and Brazil. This contraction leaves four remaining Americas slots open for intense qualification bids before the 2026 circuit begins.

Sentinels locked in core veterans alongside fresh firepower, retaining in-game leader johnqt and adding JonahP, while G2 Esports preserved their core unit featuring trent, valyn, and leaf alongside jawgemo and BABYBAY. Meanwhile, South American powerhouse LOUD overhauled their lineup with emerging Brazilian talents like lukxo and DaviH. This structural shakeup reflects broader franchised industry pressure, reminiscent of when [Valorant: Global Esports Exits VCT for AI Studio [Confirmed]](/news/global-esports-exits-valorant-ai-studio), demonstrating how performance metrics and capital sustainability dictate survival in top-flight competitive tactical shooters.
