Valorant XLG Star NoMan Explores Options [Roster Lock]

Chinese esports organization Xi Lai Gaming has officially permitted star player James 'NoMan' Man to explore international roster options ahead of the upcoming season, marking a major overhaul for the VCT China squad following head coach hvoya's recent departure. According to verified reports from VLR.gg, the Welsh-heritage flex player confirmed his active contract status while announcing his openness to join prospective franchises worldwide. NoMan joined XLG in June 2025 as a mid-season signing, initially stepping in for Midi before establishing himself as a core pillar of the roster's aggressive identity. Known affectionately by fans as 'Mr. 3K' due to his explosive multi-fragging rounds, his presence allowed former head coach hvoya to pioneer volatile double-Duelist compositions. While NoMan originally piloted Sentinel agents during his early XLG tenure, his recent duties transitioned into high-tempo Duelist roles on Jett, Waylay, and Raze. XLG, currently ranked third in China behind regional titans, now faces an abrupt structural reset across its active lineup. Industry observers note that high-stakes roster turnover often mirrors broader economic shifts across gaming, much like the structural hurdles examined in our look at the [CD Projekt Red: AAA Studio Cost Crisis Warning [Report]](/news/cd-projekt-red-aaa-cost-crisis). XLG management has not yet announced a replacement.
